3 Habits I Tried And Stopped This Year — And Started Again

You and I are most likely in the same boat.

We start a few habits, we like them and we think we’re gonna be doing it for the rest of our lives. Then, as always, life happens and we skip a day or two. We fuck up.

And you know just as well as I do, that getting back up on that horse is almost harder than it was to start in the first place.

These were the habits I stopped and started again just in 2023:

𝐃𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

I was meditating once or even twice a day. And I did it for like 2 months straight.

Then, I got a fever and wound up stopping the habit. I didn’t meditate for 2 or 3 days and that was enough to completely overturn the habit I’d been building for 2 months.

Thankfully, I’m aware of the benefits it provides because I’ve experienced the blissfulness it brings me.

I’m getting the habit started again now. I’ve meditated for 40 minutes in the past 3 days.

𝐃𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐉𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐋

Look, I’m not the type of guy that wants to write by hand. It’s cool and all, but only for 2 sentences, then I get tired.

I have a very long list of universities from which I've dropped out. I've learned a lot just by being thrown around by life.
